東京都出身。5歳よりピアノを始め、国立音楽大学附属小・中・高等学校を経て、東京音楽大学器楽専攻ピアノ科、同大学大学院鍵盤楽器研究領域（ピアノ）を修了。
これまでに、ピアノを片野美鈴、花村雅子、亀田賢、水谷稚佳子、森早苗の各氏に師事。
ジャズピアノを遠藤尚美氏に師事。
第2回エレーナ・リヒテル国際ピアノコンクール奨励賞、第18回全日本ジュニアクラシック音楽コンクール第5位受賞。第13回万里の長城杯国際音楽コンクール第1位及び審査員特別賞受賞。

Welcome to the website of pianist Ami Ogawa.
Ami Ogawa is a pianist from Tokyo, Japan. She began studying piano at the age of five and graduated from the elementary, junior high, and high school divisions of Kunitachi College of Music. She later completed her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance at Tokyo College of Music, followed by a Master’s degree in Keyboard Studies (Piano) at the same institution.
She has studied piano under Misuzu Katano, Masako Hanamura, Satoru Kameda, Chikako Mizutani, and Sanae Mori, and jazz piano under Naomi Endo.
Her awards include the Encouragement Award at the 2nd Elena Richter International Piano Competition, 5th Prize at the 18th All Japan Junior Classical Music Competition, and 1st Prize as well as the Jury Special Award at the 13th Great Wall Cup International Music Competition.
